While Mörk Borg was a major visual inspiration on Infaernum, some players seemed confused about the extent of that influence on the actual gameplay. After the video reviews and our demo, we hope it became clearer how distant these games are mechanically; the systems are entirely different, and the overall Infaernum experience, especially when you add all optional rules and supplements, can be vastly divergent.
However, we are very proud of the flexibility of our game, and we've been talking about how you can not only use it as a standalone RPG but also add it as a layer on top of another RPG of your preference to add an apocalyptic event to it. Brazilian players have been doing that as community creations for years, but we decided to make a small official one to spice things up: Mörkfaernum.
That's right; we will distribute a free digital pamphlet with a formula and chart to adapt the action rolls to Mörk Borg (and other D20-based systems) and all of MB's classes according to Infaernum's rules of Fortunes, Misfortunes, Starting Junk, and Blessings. It should be included in all tiers with the digital bundle and will also be available freely online after the campaign is over.
In other news, Ithaquas Bane published a few videos about Infaernum. Those are pretty cool and give a good idea of how flexible the game can be. Oh, and a quick reminder that we are very close to unlocking our Season 1 Stretch goal!
