The Infærnum of Cthulhu is a standalone setting for Infærnum. It is inspired by the happenings described in The Legacy of Cthulhu RPG, also published by Mind’s Vision. While previous knowledge of The Legacy of Cthulhu isn’t required, it is encouraged if you want to add more premade references and elements to your game session.

Originally offered as an exclusive gift for backers of Mind's Visions crowdfunding campaign, this supplement is now available publicly. Excerpt from the original blog:

"This supplement ports many original elements of LoC to the Infærnum mechanics and format. Everything starts, as usual, with a prophecy revealing the awakening of the Ancient Ones and their hordes. However, the prophecy isn't clear if the destruction will happen over six events or six days (like in the traditional premise), so it's up to you if you decide that, for instance, everything happens over six months or even years—which kind of makes sense in the context of LoC.

Following this, you'll need to do many things that LoC fans are familiar with. You'll need to find a shelter for your Survivors and will use a deck of cards to figure out where it's going to be located, based on the Territories rules: Diamonds mean a Wreckage tile, Spades an Underground, Hearts a Coast hex, and Clubs for Wasteland. You then start making your hex crawl map with the cards, just like LoC and its tiles. You can use the actual LoC book to gather events for these respective tiles or play only with Infærnum using directions from this new supplement.

The narrative is then broken down into the traditional six-part structure, each representing a different challenge. In LoC, you have Great Old Ones fighting for territories, so to match this, for instance, one day, you will witness Yig, Father of Serpents, infesting areas with its slithering hordes; on another, you will have to deal with the emergence of a Spawn of Yog-Sothoth using the Colossus rules to define its powers and to fight it.

This supplement also includes a new curse where you deal with haunting apparitions of Ancient Ones using the Paranoias rules to support the descent into madness, violent encounter tables based on the LoC enemies list, ideas for equipment (junk), and new blessings, among other things".
