We are getting closer to the launch of our BarbeCubes campaign and ramping up more content to give it a better feel of the game and all its game modes and other interesting facts. Before we dig deeper into the gameplay, we will share some information about the people who created the game. This post will be about game designers Daniel and Leandro, two board game veterans from Brazil who are eager to see their game reach out to many players outside their home country.
Daniel de Sant’anna Martins

Daniel is a father, an award-winning ludologist, a futurist, and an educator who began his career as a graphic designer in Brazil. He is an incredibly popular speaker and travels the country talking about board game development and its multiple uses. He has also created game development courses throughout Brazil and has worked as an educator and pedagogical coordinator for large companies and educational projects, including École 42 and Miami Ad School.
He is the recipient of the Brasil Criativo Award from Brazil's Department of Culture (2023), the Good Living 2050 Contest from Beacon for Sustainable Living (2023), and the Rebeldias Contest from the Brazilian Network of Ludic Studies (2021-2020). He has also participated in the Brazilian Games Symposium (2019). Additionally, he was a finalist in the 38th Concours International de Créateurs de Jeux de Société de Boulogne-Billancourt in France.
Leandro Pinto

As a child, Leandro accidentally broke a video game cartridge, which sparked his curiosity about the game-making process. This led him to take up the personal challenge of creating his games, starting with kid's games, board games, RPGs, and eventually digital games. In essence, he has been making games since the age of 8.
He has a degree in game design and has multiple board games officially released in his home country.
Leandro also creates educational games on demand and enjoys playtesting. He initiated a playtesting program with six game developer friends, which has expanded to multiple Brazilian regions and an online community.
His drive to continue creating fun experiences comes from the hope that his games will reach curious kids and inspire them to find as much joy in game design as he has seen in his journey.
In the next post, we will share more information (and some behind-the-scenes stuff) about the game's artwork and its amazing artist, Thassiel Melo.
